Murder Among the Mateys

My job is wonderful! My Friday night was spent with these fun high school drama students. Our "Drama Guild" decided to do a murder mystery dinner. It was so much fun. Of course, since they're drama students they really got into it. It was funny to watch them accusing people and stealing each other's gold and all sorts of fun things. Here's the group after the final accusations.
My room is very fun! I have two different levels, so once they had accused the murderer they brought him to the top of the stairs to "walk the plank". This was looking down on the mad mob!Around the dinner table getting started for the evening.

To Suz and Nathan

I have felt a longing for Nathan and Suzie to return from their foreign adventures now very strong. So, today while I was up at Dave and Sarah's I decided I'd try and put together a sort of salute to them! We all miss them and are excited for their return in just a month!!! Plus, it's a little ditty for them to see how big Dave's kids are getting. I don't have kids to update on so they get one from me. This is Sammy talking and she's only 3 weeks older than Kye so it's always fun to watch the different ways they grow. Anyway...this is to you and come home soon!!!

Cootie New Years!

Happy New Year's Day! So our family has a long standing tradition to get together as often as possible for a fun entertaining night on New Year's Eve. This year our family was in charge and did "Pirate Cootie" for the evening. It was a tremendous amount of fun!!! Rolling the eyeballs!!

Classic rounds of speed Cootie. Notice the 3 siblings at the same table?!

Shooting the skull!

Then we had a section where we pinned the "eye patch on Cap'n Jack". Here's a tid bit on what it was like:

At the conclusion of the evening we tallied up the points and discovered there was a tie between Mom and Paul....so we had a roll off. And the winner is....

So, lots of fun!

Happy Holidays!

It has been a great holiday break (except the short bout with the flu right before Christmas). It was great having Brian and Nicole come over for Christmas. It was definitely weird only having me and my parents around for Christmas and so it was nice for them to stop by.

Hair Complex

I have always had short hair. Much to my dismay I have had a difficult time growing out my hair. I've always had the shortest hair, but as I gathered with family this weekend, I was expremely proud of the fact that I HAVE THE LONGEST HAIR!! Woo hoo! Now, granted that is partly due to the fact that they are all cutting their hair and this title will probably only last for a short period of time, but I'd like to claim it proudly! To demonstrate I have provided a picture to show why this is such a big deal.

I am the cousin that is bald! See how pretty all my cousin's hair is? Even Jason has more hair than me!! So....here is the current look.

I know it's not a big deal or that Mari's hair is getting close, but humor me folks!
